Do not collapse again...! Castle revived in reinforced concrete!
Hiroshima-jō (広島城 / Hiroshima Castle) is a castle built in the late Warring States Period. Hiroshima-jō (広島城) was all collapsed by the 1945 atomic bomb. And in 1958 the Tenshukaku (天守閣 /castle tower) was rebuilt and now it is a museum that introduces the history of Hiroshima.
Gomon bashi bridge (御門橋) and Omote Gomon Gate (表御門)

Omote Gomon Gate (表御門) is the entrance of the Ninomaru (二の丸) area.

This area guarded the doorway and played a role as a base for attacking the outside.
The right side is "Omote Gomon Gate (表御門)", the left side is "Hira yagura (平櫓)".
You can see the inside. *Tamon yagura (多門櫓)
This is the internal of the "Tamon yagura (多門櫓)" with a total extension of 63 m.
This eucalyptus tree is a precious tree that survived the atomic bomb.
This is a trace of "Naka Gomon Gate (中御門)".
The stone of the gate is discolored due to the fire at the time of the atomic bombing.
This place is the area called "Honmaru Gedan (本丸下段)". *Area under Honmaru
This is Hiroshima Gokoku Jinja Shrine (広島護国神社).
About 90,000 spirits who died in the war are enshrined.
This shrine also disappeared at the atomic bomb, but it was rebuilt in the site of this castle in 1956.
There is a big "bronze statue of carp" in front of Honden (本殿 / main hall).
A carp is drawn also in the ema (絵馬).
