It's all completed repair in 'Izumo Taisha (出雲大社)', on spring 2016.
In Izumo Taisha, 'Sengu (遷宮)' hold once in 60 years. 'Sengu' is to transfer the body of a god to another shrine while an old shrine is being repaired or a new one is being built.

The gods gather in 'Izumo Taisha (出雲大社)' from all over the country.
'Ōkuninushi no kami (大国主大神)' is in the northeast inside shrine, not in center. And faces (all) are watching the west side.

Izumo Taisha (出雲大社) manner of worship

1. Let's put a coin in the saisen box.
2. Twice, bow your head and let's say a deep greeting.
3. Match your hands at the chest height, clap 4 times, and pray to the god.
4. Finally, let's bow again and say a deep greeting once.

It is the characteristic of Izumo that there are such stairs in the Shaden (社殿).

West 'Juku sha (十九社)'. Many 'Ema' and 'Omikuji' here.

'Ema (絵馬)' is board on which you write your wishes.

'Omikuji (おみくじ)' is a paper which your fortunes was written.

'Yatsuashimon gate (八足門)' and 'Juyosho (授与所 / amulet reception counter)'.

'Kaguraden (神楽殿)' was built in 1981, and size of the main hall is tatami-floored with 270 mat (about 500㎡).

It is rare in shrine, and stained glass is used.

And the 'Ōshimenawa (大注連縄)' is 13.5m (44 feet) long and weights 4.4t.

This flag pole is 47 metres (154 feet) high .
