Lighting will be held at 'Ueda-jo Senbon zakura Matsuri (上田城千本桜まつり)' held in Ueda jōshi Kōen (上田城跡公園 / Ueda Castle Ruins Park) every year. About 1,000 Sakura (cherry blossoms) blooming in the park are illuminated by light.

Around 18 o'clock, a lot of people gathered to see the cherry blossoms of night.

Although it is not a very beautiful picture, we are glad if it becomes a reference for your sightseeing.

At sunset, it may be better to see the sunset in the Ninomaru area instead of "Higashikoguchi yagramon gate (東虎口櫓門)". You will be able to take a beautiful view of the moat!
