"Edo-Tokyo Hakubutsukan (江戸東京博物館)" is a museum where you can enjoy while enjoying the history and culture of Edo and Tokyo through abundant materials and restored models. The museum is centered on Nihonbashi, the left side is the "Edo zone", and the right side is the "Tokyo zone".

With this escalator go up to the exhibition area of 6F.

* Please buy a ticket at the left side ticket office. From the basement you can go by elevator.

On the wall of the escalator there is an illustration showing how clothes will change from Edo to Tokyo.

* This seems to have clipped and enlarged a person from "Nishikie (錦絵)".

When entering there is a big bridge (Nihonbashi /日本橋).
Crossing this bridge, it's the start of history & data appreciation!

Since there is a pamphlet shelf, let's get a brochure and let's go.

Nihonbashi (日本橋) which is also a symbol of the Edo-Tokyo Museum has a width of about 8 m.

Crossing Nihonbashi, there is a model that restored Edo Castle etc which was newly set up in 2015 renewal on 1/200 scale!

It is a model that reproduced the state of the town near the Nihonbashi in 1/30 scale in the early Edo period.

Model of Edo castle seems to be newly created as there were many requests from visitors.

If you've been to the "Kokyo Higashi Gyoen Garden (皇居東御苑)", this model may be fun.

You can see that Edo Castle was at the place where the current Imperial Palace is.
