Showa Kinen Koen (昭和記念公園) is a vast national park representing Japan.
Beautiful flowers of all seasons bloom, events are held throughout the year. In addition, it has a variety of facilities such as cycling, barbecue and children's play equipment, so it is popular among families and organizations.

One minute walk from Nishi Tachikawa Station!

The "entrance of Nishi Tachikawa (西立川)" is the entrance used by the most people.

Entering from the entrance, the first thing you see is the "Waterfowl Lake (水鳥の池)".

Going to the right, you will find "Nishi-Tachikawa Cycle Center".

There are plenty of bicycles ranging from 18 to 26 inches.

There are three bicycle rental stations. * 1 day ticket 520 yen, 3 hours 410 yen

The popular "Canal" in autumn leaves!

Near the "Tachikawa entrance (立川口)" about 20 minutes from Tachikawa station, there is a popular GingkoTrees Avenue in autumn.

Anyway, wide "Open field". Large zelkova above 20 m in height is cute!!

In flower field, seasonal flowers (rape flowers and cosmos) bloom in bloom.

Komorebi no Sato (こもれびの里) is an area that reproduced old farm village scenery, and it is popular with parents and children and foreign tourists.

Children's Forest

"Children's Forest (子供の森)" in the northwest part of the park has plenty of playground equipment and is extremely popular with children!

There are also benches and rest areas where parents can rest.

Trampoline, hammock, slide etc... There are lots of large scale play equipment!

BBQ Garden

The barbecue garden is the only area in the park where you can use fire.

However, advance booking is required.

Waterfowl Lake

There is a big pond in the nearest place from the entrance of the Nishi Tachikawa Gate (西立川口).

That is "Waterfowl Lake (水鳥の池)".

Beyond the pond is "Bird Sanctuary".
