The Hozomon Gate that welcomes you!
The San-mon Gate (山門) of Asakusaji was founded in 942.
Previously, because the statue of Nio (仁王像) was preserved, called "Nio-mon Gate (仁王門)". However, after rebuilding, since the storage room was set up inside, it became known as "Hozomon Gate (宝蔵門)".
The current gate was rebuilt in 1964.

It is a gate of reinforced concrete.
On the left side of Hozomon Gate (宝蔵門), there is a symbol of Senso-ji Temple, "Goju-no-to (五重塔 / five-story pagoda)".

Before the (left side) of Hozomon Gate (宝蔵門) there is "Asakusa Fudōson Temple (浅草不動尊)".
There is a little big Jizo (地蔵) in Asakusa Fudōson Temple (浅草不動尊).。
If you pray while touching the place you think "want to cure (Jizo body)", your wish may come true....
It is a very calm, adult Jizo (地蔵) with a gentle face.
The treasure of the temple is stored in "Hozomon Gate (宝蔵門)" which is the San-mon Gate (山門) of Senso-ji Temple (浅草寺).
The San-mon Gate (山門) was destroyed by air raid in March 1945. However, it was rebuilt in 1964. That is the current Hozomon Gate (宝蔵門).
"小舟町" big lantern is weighing 500 kg.
"魚がし" the hanging lantern is made of copper and weighs 1,000 kg.
"Ungyo statue (吽形像)" of Hozomon Gate (宝蔵門). right side.

This "giant straw sandals" seems to have meaning of amulets (against evil).

The "Goju-no-to (五重塔 / five-story pagoda)" of Senso-ji Temple was built in 942. After that, repeated destruction and Burning down, the current tower was rebuilt in 1973.
It is currently undergoing renovation work. It is scheduled to end in September 2017.
This "Goju-no-to (五重塔 / five-story pagoda)" is a tower with a height of 48 m, reinforced concrete.
On the right side of Hozomon Gate is "Jizo of mother and child".
It was said that it was built to comfort the spirits of the mothers and children who were sacrificed in the Second World War.
