Lighting of Senso-ji Temple (浅草寺) started in 2003.
It is the design which considered energy saving, by illumination designer, Ms. Mikiko Ishii.

This is a statue (沙竭羅竜王像) in the Temizuya (手水舎 / Hand-wash Place).

The stairway of the Kannondo Hall (Main hall) can form a queue during the day. But in the evening can sit down slowly.

When you return, you will see the back side of the big lantern (小舟町) of Hozomon Gate (宝蔵門).

In Japan, Sensoji Temple in the night appears often in the drama scene.
However, rather than watching it on television, it is more wonderful to actually visit!
