A shrine with many important cultural properties
Nezu Jinja shrine (根津神社) is a very old shrine in Tokyo. The Shaden (社殿) etc, which were built in 1706 are still existent at that time. For that reason, eight building of the shrine are designated as important cultural assets of the country.

On the left side of the precincts (境内) of shrine is the azalea hill.
There is a turtle in a small pond.
There is an entrance of "Senbon Torii (千本鳥居)" in the middle part of the Azalea hill.

There is a rest space in the precincts (境内) of shrine.
Kaguraden (神楽殿 / sacred dance (kagura) hall).
There is "Temizuya (手水舎 / Hand-wash Place)" opposite Kaguraden (神楽殿).
Be sure to wash your hands before entering the god area.

Kara-mon Gate (唐門).
* 茅の輪くぐり (Chinowa-kuguri) is a traditional events for "drop the sin and Impurity". It is held every June and December.
The Shaden (社殿) was built in 1706.
The same god as Izumo Taisha, "Yamato Takeru no Mikoto (日本武尊)" is enshrined.
Many people wish for "恋愛成就 (success of love)" and "商売繁盛 (success of business)".

There is a Juyosho (授与所 / amulet reception counter) on the right side of the shrine. *9:30am -15:30
This is the back side of "Kara-mon Gate (唐門)". * Shaden side
It is informed that a wish came true in old days when people pray this Tree (Kaya tree).
Long ago, it seems that God's messenger "White Snake" had settled in this Kaya tree.
Under the tree (Kaya tree), many "Omikuji (おみくじ / paper random fortunes)" are tied up.
This is "Nishi-mon gate (西門 /west gate)".

"Sukibei (透塀 /openwork wall)" with a total length of 200 meters surrounding the shrine is also designated as a national heavy-cultural asset.
Nezu Jinja Shrine (根津神社) is a shrine with many couples doing "神前結婚式 (wedding before divine)".
