Kokyo Higashi Gyoen (皇居東御苑) is a valuable place surrounded by greenery and you can visit historical historic sites for free. And there is also a Japanese garden!

On the east side there is an viewing platform.

It is on the opposite side of the natural forest.

It is not a beautiful scenery because it is not in such a high place.

Long ago, there was "Edojo castle (江戸城)" here.

Currently it is maintained as an observatory.

If this Tenshudai (castle) was left, the current Tokyo would have been "a different landscape".

If you look at this picture you will know the size of the "Honmaru Tenshudai (本丸天守台)".

There is a "Kitahane bashi-mon Gate (北桔橋門)" on the back side of this "Honmaru Tenshudai (本丸天守台)".

Let's go down "Shiomi-zaka Slope (汐見坂)" from "Honmaru Tenshudai (本丸天守台)" to "Ninomaru area".

It is a very big stone wall (Ishigaki)!!!

Unlike what it looks like, it is a very steep slope.

Going along this street is "Hyakunin-bansho (百人番所)" area.

Going in the opposite direction is "Hirakawa-mon gate (平川門)."

Hirakawa-mon gate (平川門) side has "Bairin-zaka Slope (梅林坂 / Plum-grove Slope)". About 50 plums are blooming in February.

The opposite side of "Shiomi-zaka Slope (汐見坂)" is "Ninomaru area".

In the middle of the garden there is a bench.

In the Ninomaru area, the Wooded area spreads.

This is the autumn appearance of a Wooded area.

There are also bamboo groves.

In autumn the trees on the stone wall will also color.
